10 Tips to Shift to Release Stress Constructively

There is no doubt that we are living in stressful times with our economy and so many people without jobs. When job loss occurs, unbelievable stress can hit us!

Here are 10 tips to shift to release stress constructively:

1. Write down all the issues you are stressed out about, then check off the ones that YOU actually have control over.

2. Write out some strategy steps to help yourself create solutions for the ones you have control over.

3. Write the ones down you do not have control over and burn them in a clay pot or in your grill or fireplace and release them to your Higher Power and ask for help on those.

4. Go out for a run and box away your tension like Rocky Balboa in the first “Rocky” movie.

5. Hit your bed with a plastic baseball bat, a foam swim floaty or something that will not break anything. (It is best to do this when nobody is home, because you could sound a little psycho as you get into releasing all of your tension!) ha ha Maybe put on the stereo, so the neighbors cannot hear your and do not call the police, too!

6. Have a family member or friend massage your back where you are holding your tension.

7. Take a hot bath and read an uplifting book.

8. Talk to someone who you trust who is supportive and can help you deal with your issues.

9. Scream in a pillow and/or have a good cry.

10. Meditate or relax to calming music and go to your heart and ask your Higher Power to help you and guide you towards a more peaceful state.

All of these suggestions are ways to release stress in a way that is more constructive than the typical ways of eating, drinking etc.

Blessings to you on your shifts,
