Coaching in Relationship ShIFt & Transition

Monday, April 30th, 2007

Spring is the time for ShIFt & Transition. Humans tend to follow the Earth Cycles (whether they realize it or not!)

One area where shIFt and Transition can show up is in the area of relationships. It can be in relationship to yourself, your spouse or significant other, your family, in your friendships and in your work life.

It seems that the one constant that you can count on is that CHANGE or ShIFt IS ALWAYS PRESENT, in some way, in our lives, so let’s examine how it can show up in relationships.

You may be in a place where you are realizing that you are not happy in your work, or in some of your relationships. Perhaps you can examine and ask yourself some of these questions.

Work Related Questions for Self shIFt at work:

Do I have a vibrant energy or passion when I am at work?

Do I truly enjoy my work?

Do I enjoy my work environment…office space, management’s way of handling me, colleagues, company culture?

Am I paid what I feel I am worth?

IF you answered NO to any of these questions, it may be time for a shIFt in your career.

Questions for personal Self ShIFt:

Do I like WHO I AM or how I present myself to the world?

Am I REAL or Authentic?

Am I someone people can trust and count on?

Do I like the way I treat my body?

Am I at my optimal health?

IF you answered NO to any of these questions, it may be time to shIFt some areas of your relationship with SELF.

Questions for shIFt with my spouse or significant other:

Am I someone who is a giver in the relationship?

Am I someone who is fun and positive?

Am I someone I would like being married or connected to?

Am I compassionate and loving toward my spouse or significant other?

IF you answered NO to any of these questions, it may be time to shIFt some areas in your marriage or significant relationship.

Questions for shIFts in family relationships:

Am I someone who is understanding and compassionate with my family member(s)?

Am I positive with my family members?

Am I the type of family member who I would want to be related to?

Am I able to give to my family member(s) in a way that serves them?

If you answered NO to any of these questions, it may need time to shIFt in your relationship with one or more people in your family.

Questions for shIFt in friendships:

Are you the type of friend that you wish others would be to you?

Are you authentic with your friends? ( where you feel save in sharing your TRUE SELF)

Are you positive with your friends where they feel supported and understood by you?

Do your friends feel comfortable talking with you and sharing their true selves with you?

IF you answered NO to any of these questions, it may be time for some shIFts in your friendships.

As you can probably see, there are some patterns in my questions. What it comes down to, is how are you in relationships with the people you care about and interact with the most? Do you serve them? Or are you critical, toxic or selfish in any way? Do you have “equitable relationships”, where you feel you receive as much as you give?

All these questions are DEEP, and IF you take the time to evaluate your answers, you may recognize the need for huge shIFts to occur.

I wish you the best in your self-discovery and IF you need help in your shIFts or feel that you are “KNEE DEEP IN SHIFT” TM, I would be honored to coach you through them! Just contact me through my contact page on my website, and you can be on your way!

Blessings on your journey through your relationship shIFts,
